Well bloody finally, right....

I mean come on, does it GET any cuter.. this is actually a couple of weeks old. At the moment he looks very fat in the chops... I think a smile is just a round the corner...

Izzy is two weeks old today...

His first bath. Actually he did not love it. At all....
It looks like he is really smiling dunnit.... But I dont think he smiles on purpose for a few weeks yet.. I think it was just a little fart actually...
He looks super handsome here...

So he is two weeks old now. He is spotty - baby acne from the hormones in breasticle milk; and still a little flaky and the boy can sure down milk.

Last night he slept from midnight till six can you believe it. The thing is, I didnt sleep because I was getting ready for him to wake up at four - as usual - then he didnt. So I had to try and sleep again but I couldnt because Redha insisted that he stay in the bed with us.. And he snuffles and snorts, and then Redha was snoring so it was kind of like being in bed in a farm.

Its now half two. Lying on the bed with the lap top on my lap. My stitches still kind of snag and pull. They are a right fu*king pain in the ass. And I have to pump my udders in a bit. I need to make a list of things about what I wasnt prepared for:

Things they dont tell you:

1. When you get to Ripas, and upon being warded, you dont get told jack shit about what happens next.

2. The time from when you think you are in labour to the time when you actually need to push is a goddammed long ass time.

3. You lose a lot of blood throughout.

4. My favourite part - strangely enough - was after they stitched me up, Izzy was asleep in the bed thing next to me in the labour room, it was around 7 in the morning, I was all alone, I was not in pain, I was served a warm milo and a bun, then I stood up to get out of bed to go wash and wee(then blood gushed out and went ALL over the floor) I felt relaxed and relieved.

5. Noone told me how the pain does not actually stop after giving birth. Stitches are no joke - very hard to move around with what they did to me down south

6. Oh and jesus christ when the milk comes in.. its like someone implanted canon balls behind your nipples.

7.Leakage. Are you kidding me... everything is padded up.. bras, underwear.

8. Night sweats. The grossest. Every night now I wake up wringing wet around my neck from nasty sweating. Apparently its the body still getting rid of water that was retained during pregnancy.
I had a major list but now I cant remember..

Dawn Adventure, Food, Christmas Preparations....

Last week we got out all the christmas stuff to do an 'inventory' of what we have and what we need. Bazil and Qawi were being really, erm...helpful.... They unpacked everything then pretended to be reindeer with the help of a skipping rope. Baz is super duperly into Christmas - not kidding you. He wants to come on the final shopping trip for ornaments and candles..Actually they were really good.

I am so pleased that I still have the tacky piece of shit paper table cloths from last year. I think I am turning into daddy - really cheap, and recycling everything. They have burn holes in them but i refuse to throw them away.
Ps . are you loving my nightie?

I never told you about our Dawn Adventure, did i..? Well as per the above time on the car clock, me and Redha were out and about as the sun set last week sometime. We both woke up at four and couldnt sleep...so he suggested we go buy some cakes from the tamu in town. Cant quite believe i said yes. So we put on our winter clothing and went out. To buy some cakes. A lot of cakes....

Do you think we over did it...?
So its really all been about food. This is phase one of my food mission accomplished.. The Swensens Brownie made from WHITE CHOC. Got butter, maple syrup, pistachios. Was ridiculous.
Second instalment was the Japanese restaurant. Thats Nadi, of course.... She ate my food.
I do have photos of the after eight instalment... Will post them at a later date.
Its Sunday - we are at the Fake Coffee Bean in Gadong. I am sweating my balls off....

A week later...

This is our action shot.. Lis came nice and early aropund 10 because she had no eclectric city and her house, Ding and co did not :) So the croissants - which I BAKED, were rock 'ard..
My baked items... I tell you now they are very good. But must have with BUTTER. There is no point otherwise.
Fruit. Yawn. Whatever.

We were watching Americas Funniest Home Videos. That show just makes me laugh out loud. No other show can make me laugh like that. It makes me feel like I am a really easy going person who can laugh at anything all the time... which is balls.

I did the news last night. Funny only doing it once a week. My breathing is all crap, and I cant sit up close to the table. Funnily enough this little boy loves the news. He moves all over the place during it non stop. And he really hurts now. I think all that milk has made him solid. In my mind he is kind of like a tank.. I think he must have big feet too. Oh I cant wait to meet him.

I watched the Nanny Diaries the other day. It was as good as, if not BETTER than the book. Not often you can say that innit. Stylish, good ending. I enjoy.

I have started miniature christmas shopping. I realise I always buy the same type of stuff. I am always drawn to sports stuff for the boys. Last year that was the theme, remember... that was shit hot, I know. This year I dont have a theme. And I dont know where the fairy lights are. I got out the Christmas box and its lacking ingredients. And i thought i was so organised and stocked. I need to do a run to euro classics. They have a corner where all last years stuff is 50 percent off. I love that action. Will get the candles.

Today i want to eat Japanese food and Swensens new White Choc Brownie with butter and maple syrup sizzling.. are you kidding me... wow. nice. I also want to eat After Eights... Redha does not like any of that food though. He is on holiday after tomorrow so he can start to drive me. I am 36 weeks now. I want to deliver at 38 weeks.. thats my plan. I feel sure he is cooked now.

The pram is just stunning... Redha has photos of it and he cant stop saying thank you to you. He keeps asking me to message you over and over so just pretend I did, ok. We put the car seat in it and its very handsome. The 'hammock' seat will come when he is much bigger.

Ok since I am on dial up I should just make sure this gets posted... where the hell is YOUR blog action? You promised after Sydney. What kind of one way relationship is this.....Waiting.....

I had this for my dinner earlier this week at JP...Wow. Does it get any better..? I mean come on... chicken chop, chips AND a fried rice... I think I should be a food reviewer. I know all about the finer things in life.

Final list for hospital bag. Its stuck on the wall.

So we got Nanna's slippers from the Internet. I think they cost about BND 150...For sure mother must have told you, right...? She was getting her knickers all in a ridiculous twist over them.
Anyway, the funny story is that Dani decided to use this advert for slippers as his screen saver. And he wasnt even trying to be funny.
(They aren't the ones Nanna is getting, but I kind of like them. For a special day out.)
So tomorow I am looking forward to brunch. Ding and Saizul and Lis will hopefully come. This is what is on the menu: ( and I am really good at this breakfast stuff)
- Hot, freshly brewed Lavazza Coffee
- Croissants and pastries (buy them frozen and put them in oven.. wonderful really)
- Beef sausages (Ding does not like chicken ones)
- Hash browns
- Fried Eggs sunny side up
- BAKED BEANS
- Sauteed mushroom and cherry tomatoes
- Some fresh fruit (just for colour and that hotel food feel)
- Some fresh juice
Am thinking MAYBE pancakes.. the real ones. I am good at those.

Stroller..

BEBE CONFORT Loola....
So Polly this is the stroller which you are investing in. In UK its over 200 pounds so here the price is ok at BND 600, if we compare...

The greatch thing is that we can attach the car seat to it.. then it becomes a "travel system" woo hoo.... I cant tell you how excited Redha is. I asked him just how excited is he. He said, "As excited as when we got the flat screen huge tv..." I think its a guy thing. I dont quite get it. Maybe because it has wheels?

There is only one at Mothercare hence we are acting fast... Thanks again, Daddy Warbucks..Thanks a lot....

PS. Mum said "Oh we can push it around the living room!..." Erm, ok then...

Worlds Most Boring Photos...

Redha is on some 'photo blogger' mission... This is a Nipple Pump.
And these are bottles. If you want to see them from different angles, I can arrange for it.
Baby Monitor. Again, other angles are available. Can even try and see if we get one with it plugged in.
Packing the bag with Wendy. She knows whats going on, man. He has a blue long sleeved suit, with a hat, mittens, and 2 blankets... And a pamper.
This is Izzy's bag of clothes for when he arrives. They are really really small though.
And those are his bags. All ready to go. Anytime. (Thats his changing table, by the way.. and when you lift that top up, there is a bath...)
Ok, those are our photos. Now for the list of christmas presents that Mum thinks would be good for the boys - the small ones, Bazil and Qawi, as taken from todays Sunday Times, Singapore...
The article is "10 Hot Toys" so here we go:
Lego Star Wars: available at Tangs : bloody expensive at $128.50
Speed Tech Bumble Bee Remote Controlled Helicopter: $29.9. available at Carrefour
and actually, I think thats it from the article.
For Mum, was thinking a new bed would be nice... What do you think - if we split it between the three of us?
For Rachael, dont know also.
